11 days to Sarasota Half Marathon

I am so excited and ready to run the Sarasota Half Marathon relay with my Boo. Thank goodness she isn't afraid of heights and will run the first 5.5 miles over the bridges. I am expecting some awesome pictures from her. I will definitely be sharing pics from my portion - 7.6 miles - downtown Sarasota.

Look out sidewalk here I come tonight. Planning on a quick 4 miles after work.

Three Things Thursday

1. American Idol made me cry last night. Poor J. Lo....I felt so sorry for her. She has a big heart!

2. Running...oh running....how I miss you. Life has gotten in the way alot this week but I promise to find you soon:-)

3. I am so ready to stick my toes in the sand at the beach that I can't stand it! 16 days to go!

Love Your Heart Run 10K - maybe it should be called Love Your HURT Run!

Saturday was gorgeous! Sunny and 70s. My sweet Boo and I headed to Chewacla state park for the annual Love Your Heart Run 10K. We started the day off by spinning the Chik-fil-a wheel and i got a coupon for free dessert and Jaclyn got a free biscuit coupon. We then hit up the honey buckets and it was time to line up. Aubie got the crowd started with an awesome War Eagle and then we were off. Chewacla hills kicked my fanny! My quads are still shaking. Hill after hill after hilll. I survived the first four just fine but bonked quickly. I had to walk through the water stop at the 4 mile mark. After snorting my gatorade at the 2 mile stop i figured it was better to drink the gatorade than to inhale it. Anyhooo.....i did finish. It wasn't pretty....just under 1 hour. Why oh why does it take so blooming long for race directors to post the results????? And FlipFlopFoto, please hurry and post the pics! I can't wait to see the shot of me and my Boo with Aubie:-)

Three Things Thursday

1. Love Moes! Thankful Thursdays is an awesome money saving deal. Can't beat lunch for two for under $12.
2. This weather we are having in the South is absolutley glorious. Really, really hard to come back inside after lunch.
3. Looking forward to going to the AU-AL women's basketball game tonight. Tickets - compliments of Lovie!

Yup....I did it. Last night...watching Biggest Loser (all time greatest inspiration). Every time i would get pooped i would think - ok - these 400 pound people are working out like machines so i can too!

What a glorious day today! The sun is shining and I just had a great lunch with the best hubby in the world. Can't wait to hit the dreadmill tonight and watch my favorite motivational show - The Biggest Loser. Wonder what game-playing will go on tonight??
